What will my 3 minute extract feature: In my extract I will focus on creating a narrative which features Mark who has had a traumatic upbringing, this upbringing will be highly intensified through various camera shots which will focus on the traumatic death of his mother when he was younger. This is then what leads him to become a vigilante which focuses on him tracking down criminals in an attempt to see who murdered his mother so that he can finally end up with justice. Already feels like a wire or top boy style idea, point on montage, POV shots show excellent thoughts behind opening. Some great iconography- pin board is a classic crime drama convention. Really well developed narrative already great detail. Is there too much for 3 minutes though? I also think that if you need all of this perhaps some of this needs to be trailed rather than shown? This feels like a full episode. Superb delivery and use of images in presentation. Whole presentation is narrative but lacks media elements of language representations audience ect.
